I've been asked to assist in a wedding banquet, have some query below:

My camera: G3 + 420EX

1) What is the best setting for shooting 敬酒? Why some people suggested using AV f.8 not f.2 (which I thought f.2 can attract more light)

2) Should I bring along with a wide lens? I saw the the price of the latest focus optics is pretty reasonable, but can it compete against original Canon wide lens?

3) What is the best setting for shooting group photos? I'm just thinking of using TV 1/30 and w/b fluorescent to prevent yellowish photos, how's that?

1. 這類場合多數可以用1/60 F5.6 or F4.0
因為可以吸現場光得來又可以多D 地方Sharp

F8.0 閃光燈未必夠Power+ 搶曬現場光
F 2 sharp 的地方又太少

3.1/60 + 閃光WB 已經足夠

同意south_south網友所言, 而以下兩個website應該會幫到你.

既然你用既係G3, 咁到時最好善用你果個扭得既LCD, 特別係一堆人敬酒時, 可以舉高部機黎影.

而於wide鏡, 帶埋會穩陣D, 影大合照時可能有用.

因為我都係用緊G2不過就搭緊其他廠閃光燈仔

扭Mon 真係好好用~~舉高都仲影得好清楚!
但係注意舉高後對焦的地方呢~~^^

快門：1/60可以喇 ( 不要太慢，會受現場光影響 )

光圈：5.6 可以喇 ( 如果閃燈唔夠力可開大 4.0 或 2.8 )

ISO：100 得喇 ( 如果閃燈唔夠力可調至 200 ，小心 noise )

WB：自動得架喇

用閃燈唔使測光架，相機會自動調節

敬酒時都係一樣 ( 自動對焦要夠快 )

還有一點要注意：閃燈要夠強力回電快及用不完的電

如果酒樓有位比你退後，盡可能唔好用 wide 過 35mm，任何人都不喜歡被變形。
