佢係另一個鍵~~~~當你用相機既內致自動式測光系統(A mode)測完光後~~但又要郁動下~~例如構圖咁啦~~~~就要用ae lock~~

AE lock means "auto exposure lock", same as the tilte of this thread in Chinese.

Different camera has different settings, some are achieved by half press down the shutter like you said above, some are done by a separate button or combination of buttons on the camera. The best one to find out is to READ THE USER MANUAL. If the camear model has AE LOCK, it will for sure indicated in the manual.

The way to use it, make it simple, is: in situations that lighting are really tricky, you want to aim the camera at the object that you want to have correct exposure first, lock the exposure, then re-compose your picture, then fire the camera.

e.g. A model standing on the beach. On a sunny day even the subject is not back lit ("bui kwong" in Chinese), the correct exposure of the background, sand, water may be 1/500 sec f11 for ISO100. But, the model's face need a 1/500 sec f5.6 or correct exposure value. So you aim at the model, lock the exposure, then recompose (in your case may be the model is on the left or right, etc.), then fire.

Without locking the exposure, the camera will more than likely meter the background, which is the dominant object in the composition and fire the shot at 1/500 sec f11. You model's face will be dark :P

p.s. AE lock can help you, yet will not solve all kind of exposure problem. It is only a matter of "convenience". A lot of times in portrait shots you will use fill flash, reflector, etc.

pentax既自動測光係全自動,有測光部份擇,而按take short一半就會lock機,不過見意用MF+FULL 方便好多

你用MF + Full就可鎖光再做其他野
