如果用300D 420EX夠用了 除非你覺得GN42唔夠用 , 就選550EX
仲有 420 輕D細D , 550就重D大D 而550就有個顯示器 , 420就冇
有錢就當然係550好啦

If you think manual control is not important and the GN is large enough, 420ex is enough. Otherwise go for 550ex. But I don't think size is a problem. A camer-top flash is smaller than your camera, right?

Good idea, Sigma 500 DG Super. Many users love it. But the coverage is 28-105mm. I haven't used that, but I think it's a good substitute. If you shoot very wide pictures, beware of it.
A risk of buying a second-hand flash is that you don't know how many flashes the flash has fired. You can't see it. You have no idea on how long it will live.
