just bought a sandisk class 4 8G for my 550D
take photo is ok, but record video..... only can record around 8 second.

Any one use Kingston/Toshiba/Transcend Class 4 8G ? ok or not ?

I have no experience with 550D, but according to your discription, may be the card is not fast enough (Class 4), the buffer is full, try shoot with lower resolution with the same card, see see whether u can take longer time.

In the long run, try use (Class 6 or above)

唔係張card有問題, 係張咭個speed唔夠...

但係我今日去會展電腦展,SANDISK用部D90做即場示範連拍十張計時,
佢地張ULTRA II CLASS 4 竟然用左~6秒拍完,而K字頭用T字頭都要十幾秒.而T字頭張CLASS 10 竟然慢過T字頭自己張CLASS 6!!
奇在佢地唔敢試拍片比較,有D古惑....都唔知D卡係咪做左手腳??

我都是550D的用家, 之前我用KINGSTON CLASS 6 16G, 拍照完全沒有問題, 但拍VIDEO, 拍不出20秒即死,
之後轉用TOSHIBA CLASS 10 16G($345), 拍照及VIDEO都完全沒有問題. 希望, 我的經驗可以幫到你

教你一個方法:

用部機format張卡一次, 咁就冇事, 如果唔得才用電腦用慢方法format張卡, 後再用機format.

張咭如經重覆抄寫多次, 會有呢個問題, 不是張卡問題, 而係當你再寫入新數據時, 放的位置太散, 一時間放唔切

我用transcend class 2 都唔會斷! 無謂浪費錢買class 10, 550d用kingston class 6夠有餘, 如果唔係影長曝(如星軌), 分別不大的

以上係我用class 2 class 4 class 6 的用後感覺, 讀卡的速度(抄相出來)幾乎一樣, 牌子與牌子的分別亦不大, 抄2-3gb野出來最多咪差30秒左右, 去個洗手間的時間都唔夠

本人在星期四買了550d, (class 4 kings)真是慢得很, 在照相時出現要等寫的字樣. 換了s90果張t仔(class6)快了一點, 可以接受. 昨天買了一張(class10) adat* 的. 真是快很多.

Class 10, 不是太貴, 當年怕10筒36, iso 50專業菲林, 連相也差不多要$500-800. 16g class10. $249 only. 可以一試. 我現在相 Exterm III, 有ching知效果嗎?

你FORMAT一次試下先, 以前我用CLASS 2照相都未試過出現等寫的字

連拍滿BUFFER, 要等好正常, CLASS 4 拍片應OK

不過我都覺KINGSTON係在同CLASS平均慢DD

ANYWAY, 我都信CLASS10係快好多, 不過我轉左機用CF, SD真係平好多

Sandisk Class 10 係 30mb/s

其他版子 Class 10 先係20mb/s

因為小弟剛剛買了新card 所以睇左......
不過最後買左t字頭的class 10......平d........

Sandisk is faster than other band with same class. (exclude Panasonic sd card)
