How come it can be water-proof or dust-proof??? It is not internal zoom!!!

just like 24-70L / 24-105L, they are also external zoom with water-proof or dust-proof. Ching, are you still believe they are real water-proof or dust-proof?

From the first day I saw the photo from dpreview, I suspect that the front element will extend when zoomed. Finally, it is.

Canon just change the 70-300mm Black one into White and swap the focus ring and zoom ring.....................haha kidding

I totally agree with your point, and I don't think that it is kidding... :(
they just use the same optical formula, replacing the elements with something more expensive... that's why the black one and white one look so similar.... really horrible!!

Rankinelo Ching,
The Black one is 142.8mm long
The White one is 143mm long
I agree that Canon replace some element with something more expensive
Make it larger in diameter to have expensive hand feel, paint it in white to match the L-series, adding a red rubber in front

If it is not internal zoom, it is hardly to make ppl to buy it if it is over 10k for a non-constant aperture lens...!!

我覺得呢支係開8-9k... 日本價好似同小小白is 同價... 所以唔會過萬... 除非開頭少鏡又有人買而缺...
我諗要清楚一點... 防塵防水滴唔係100%... 而且滴o下水+有塵都唔去到鏡內電子部份而影響操作已經係好... 當然人人要求唔同...
zoom 鏡不斷推動... 空氣中有成千上萬粒塵... 冇防塵防水滴一日入幾十粒... 有防塵防水滴入得幾粒...
