Recent pricing strategies of Nikon and Canon have been very aggressive. While there was no big breakthrough in lens technology, the major breakthrough was price. N85.4G is a very good example, a 10% improvement in technology and 80% increase in price (compared with existing 85.4D). For me, even for the same price, I will buy the old 85.4D for a better build (no plastic feeling). The new 70-200 2.8 for both N and C are a lot more expensive than the previous generation, with marginally better technology. If we continue to buy these new lenses, N and C will continue this pricing strategy. What do you think?? Stop buying to show our dissatisfaction?

Even people who have money will not spend it on lenses which are over priced! Value for money is the request of all N and C supporters.

題外話...回shkp師兄, C85.8同C28-135係咪真係咁very good quality呢? 唔睇價錢就只能夠講五個字>"鬆">"淡">"唔合格", 一睇價錢就"一分錢一分貨", 算合格啦.

N記鏡少, 某部份鏡群又斷層, 價錢越嚟越唔普及, 心淡!!!
N記心知爭取中低檔次market不及C記, 所以要轉型走hi-end.

C85.8 ... really ok la ... of course 比 85.2 差 .. but 比 50.4 好

C28-135 ... can reach 80% quality of EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM but 1/2 the price on it ....

x2 - 我之前都有噤講過。Nikon應該唔夠資源打噤多條 line
所以要 focus high-end 賺多啲

我有C85.8同C50.4, C85.8成像係差過C50.4的, 只要你將兩者最佳光圈值嘅中央及邊緣放大少少比較就睇得一清二楚, C85.8係鬆過C50.4好多, 原因係C85.8無一塊係非球面, C50.4有一塊非球面, 所以C85.8最佳聚焦力係有先天不足, 只不過你唔係聞相所以唔會刻意去比較.

I take photo on both C50.4 & C85.8 ...

IN MY POINT OF VIEW ... in 4R printing size ... I really think C85.8 better ...

HOPE when I have more experience I know what you mean and observe the difference ...

Support Sigma to make more good quality but cheaper lens
eg. s50.4

but please make better on the focus accuracy before release on street
