I use it for portrait, still life, landscape and semi close up (with 500D filter).
Well, I guess when I first started photography, 50mm f1.8 was my standard lens and only lens - ZOOM were not very good quality and expensive back then. Canon A1 and 50mm 1.8 were my best friends.
I actually bought my 50mm f1.2 last week for my 5D II and over 20 years that I haven't use a 50mm! The zoom ring is my foot with 50mm - I am madly in love with photography again - the magic of 50mm.
Love the BOKEH and real shallow DOF.

同一個焦距, 同一個光圈大小既鏡, 你問下d LEICA M系玩家, 佢地會有數之不盡既idea提供俾你點樣用呢支標準鏡王, 影死物, 人像.....基本除運動外, 接近咩都好好玩(運動唔係影唔到, 只係唔適合)
