Hello everybody,
firstly I would like to say merry christmas to you all.

Today, the 19th of December, I bought a new Canon 60D from shop@dcfever. I brought it home and thought I would give it a try. There were a few problems:

A) it wouldn't focus on my subject. no matter whatever mode I used.
B) when I half-pressed the shutter button, the flash popped up and started a short and fast flash, each time about 4-6.

I don't know whether it is the battery (there was only 9% left) or it was the camera itself.

First, read your manual
A) check your lens is properly installed or not, is the button switched to "AF" position
B) turn off "flashlight AF assist"

Do you mena it won't focus or it won't focus on your target?

If it won't focus, you may switch to the manual focus function, or there has some connection problem between your lens & body, try to disconnect the lens & clean the connecting pins, and then re-connect it again.

If it won't focus on your target, you may switch it to auto focusing points, just change it back to middle point or any point you like.

I think you turn the switch to "AUTO" mode (the green square one), so when it is too dark, the flash will pop up & preflash for easy focusing

9% is already enough to take several tens photos. So this is not the problem of the battery
