 S50.4 走天崖 Post time: 12 月 22 日 |

Will be spending Christmas in HK this year. I was going to bring a wide angle (17-40), a tele (70-200) and a portrait (50) with me. When I got to the airport this morning I just realized I forgot to pack the other two lenses and all I had with me was the S50.4. I guess i will get by with the 50mm on this trip.
Perhaps this will help me to focus on taking the pictures instead of worrying about which lenses to use.

Acanonguy ching其實都講得0岩一樣野....
帶三支鏡, 有時真係唔知用邊支好.....
不過又有時好衰咁諗, "鏡到用時方恨少"

S50.4 for all shots is really no problem
keep focus in using it and there'll be lots of great photos as well!!!

Just got back home yesterday. Got a good taste of the photography culture in HK too. If I had to do this all over with only one lens, I will take the S50.4 again.

我都喺有17-40同70-200，結果1740用得最多,支70-200用得好少
準備遲D都買翻只S50.4玩下, 但喺聽講會出現甩焦嘅問題? 唔知ching有無呢個問題呢

My experience with the S50.4 so far on my 5D2 has been very positive. The weight and size of the lens balanced very well with the 5D2 body. Focusing is quiet and fast. I don't have (or not noticing) 甩焦嘅問題 but sure it can be adjusted if needed.
Coupled with high ISO performance on 5D2 and large aperture of f/1.4, I can just shoot away in many different lighting conditions without flash or tripod. Yes I am sure lower ISO and smaller aperture will give you sharper images but again sharpness is not an important factor for my pictures.
For CHing asking about posting song with picture, I will write it up in a separate post.
