i know that there are two bug of it

1> high light black dot
2> power run very fast of leaking battery

do any user got this situation ?

i think this is a software problem

may me can fix later

but the most important is do any one get the problem of leaking power
or power use very fast

i jst want to know

because my 5d2 same no this problem

the 'high light black dot problem' i was email to canon hk. now await their reply. But some canon user say is the 'noise deduct' problem. but i don't know is it true??

所謂"high light black dots",以我所知同CMOS pixel error 無關,最主要是影像處理器在高ISO 的情況下強行減低解像度(因noise在模糊化可以減低),因而引致黑點。這個問題需要改Firmware去解決。

is it the problem that may be some country the whole stock with problem and may be in hk no this problem ?


but i think the high light black dot is the problem of the software caculation it may be fix later
but i do not found that in my machine or may be i don't know for to test?

is that really all the machine get this problem or not all

becasue i try my 5d2 shoot with a bulb
i make it zoom more than 200% it seem no this problem or may be i don't know how to test

I knew about the black dot issue from dpreview. Some said that it happens to bodies with series no 23xxx. , while 22xx have no problem.
My body with S/N 23xxxx, but I have tied to shoot light points with black background and could not find any black dots even on magification. Maybe Canon will clarify.

I havn't shot much enough to assess if the battery life is OK. It depends on what lens you use. Lens with IS will consume more power. LCD brigtness setting will also influence the battery life.

Buying a backup a battery is a solution. But it costs about $600. I have a handgrip. So I can use AA batteries to solve the power problem.

By theway, I found the photo quality and low light shots from 5D-II really outstanding.
