長焦端(100mm) 以上可做影深效果
F2.8，焦距100mm，2 米距離時,
近景1.99米
遠景2.01米

the focus length of 100mm means in 135 format,
6.1 - 30.5 mm (28-140mm in 135 format), in the tele end the G10's Aperture only have 4.5, so the DoF may not good enough.

Very difficult and is case by case. When you zoom in (100mm for example), the apeture won't be 2.8. The camera will adjust to a bigger number, can't do anything about it.

I think this is one difference between SLR and Prosumer.

G10 the best can do is zoom to max. with largest aperture :
30.5mm F4.5 and need very close object distance (eg 1 or 2 feet) to give shallow depth of field.
