本人想收購一部40D，而我本身有部400D，想放出去。但我還有支Canon EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS ，那麼我轉了40D還用得著這支鏡，還是再買支Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM，而這兩支有沒有有分別，還是還有一些更好用的鏡嗎，我主要是影人的，請各位師兄比d專業的意見給我^^"~

Of course YES, since 40D is also APS-C body. EF-S lenes are exclusively for APS-C bodies, so both 17-85 and 17-55 can be used on 40D and 400D body.

<而這兩支有沒有有分別>
Both 17-85 and 17-55 have IS and USM. But the aperture of 17-85 is from F4-5.6 while that of 17-55 is F2.8 throughout the whole range. Also, the filter size of 17-85 is 67mm while that of 17-55 is 77mm.

17-55 is better than 17-85 due to its larger aperture. You may also consider 17-40L if you will change to full frame bodies.

if u really like portrait photo, may be u can try 50/1.8

your 400D is a good camera, don`t waste it
