hahahaha....... Budget isn't that tight and I can afford, but I really don't know if I can full utilize it.

If not, I will hold this big flash until it retires.

i owned 580EXII since I am still with Canon 20D.
till now I am using 7D. I still don't need to change, upgrade my flash.
7D can remote control 580 too. If I buy 430 before, then I need to think about upgrade to 580 when my 7D can remote control.......
you see the good thing about buy the top model (which I can afford) now?
580 is a good flash.
go you tube and see whether you can find some video showing how good this flash and decide.
to me, better light, more light is still my first thing to invest in digital photography.
wlhen you see a big aperture len's price, you will find out the 580 is not that expansive indeed!!!
