four-third cannot use FD, but MICRO-four-third, can use FD.

I friend in mainland china is working on the mount!

Canon's FD (42.00 mm)
Four Thirds System (38.67 mm) just a little bit shorter
micro Four Thirds System (20 mm) many space to set the mount convertor

of course only manual focus & f value can be set

From the advertisement, G1 will use normal 4/3 lens. So, How does it work?

G1 basically use micro 4-3 lens, but with an adapter, G1 can also use normal 4-3 lens. there is no glass inside the mount, so there is no loss in optical quality.

for FD lens on G1, a mount can be easily made because there are over 22 mm reserved for the adapter.
