It sounds good for user without DSLR but a little too big for user who has already owned a high-end DSLR. It is even bigger than GX1 and heavier than NEX-5N.

I will opt NEX-5N as a second camera considering better video capability.

This G1X is really a killer to the market. The photo above is already at level of DSLR!

Let's see the focusing speed of G1X when taking video / photo. No idea how Contrast AF can still help in such a large sensor.

It'll be good if it has more variation in appearance. And the remaining key factor should be the actual retail price.

無反的確唔夠方便, 而且體積都仲有一定份量. 如果帶埋2, 3支鏡就更加談唔上輕便.
所以CANON 都係出呢種高質DC...比起N記 架1仔, 好好多

好多人買Evil其實只係貪佢細得來畫質好過DC,未必係想換鏡.就算好多買DSLR既都唔係鐘意可以換鏡.只係鐘意佢畫質好過DC.你睇幾多人揀來揀去都係揀天涯鏡就明啦.

I have a Nex 5 since it launched and it really gives me more chance to take camera out. According to my last summer photos, half are Nex and half are taken by Canon. As Kowloon Man C hing said, we just need convenience for the second camera. So, if i choose again, must buy G1X.
Reason: as second camera, don't want to invest too much. Besides, don't want to take so much lens.

Same concept of G12, this one will give u a DSLR quality but G12 can't and never close to this level.

just a bit smaller than APS-C sensor. crop factor is 1.85, APS-C is 1.6

should works good in higher iso, so smaller f number in the tele side is ok.
concerning about the lens distortion. hope simple pictures of high iso come out soon.
