Hi,

Just tried to use my 17/40 on my new 6D.
At 17mm, I found out 2 out of the 4 corners are black because of the lens hood. Is it a must to take off the lens hood? In that case, what's the use of lens hood then?

Black corner might be because you haven't turn your hood to the right position.

MENU 入面有.....有分四級....我都係唔用多....
不過聽講尼支鏡要收到8~11先無黑角...

The hood has no use on image quality but only look more professional.
When 17/40 L lens fit to full frame body must have dark corners at large aperture but situation improve when decreasing the aperture.
