其實我比較中意CCD,可惜各大廠都唔出
現在中底機都開始用CMOS

因為cmos成本平過ccd
而現在的cmos畫質也同ccd差不多， 所以都轉用cmos

It is because cmos has much lower power consumption than ccd and easier to achieve better noise reduction.

But ccd has better dynamic range and cell response time.

In smaller size sensor with lower noise reduction requirement market like compact DC, ccd has cost advantage than cmos due to better yield rate and cheaper production line setup.

In medium to large size sensor market like prosumer to DSRL, cmos has cost advantage than ccd due to better noise reduction performance, long battery life and standard cutting size production line setup.

BTW, I am not very sure if Canon is leading CMOS sensor technology or not surely but long way behind the modern fabrication process. From what I know, Canon is still using 40nm fab. but Sony (Nikon) ,Panasonic & Sharp are using 32nm or even 28nm fab.

Canon is far away behind and has huge cost disadvantage than other players.

Canon's image is quite superior even using the outdated technology, can't imagine what they can give if they further proceed to 32nm or even 28nm.

係廣告上的確係有先見之明嘅,個個想開始學攝影都俾佢啲廣告洗腦, Fullframer就上哂FF. 但唔係得C有FF囉。
至於CMOS, 用COMS又唔見得有先見, C技術科技上的確又落後過人喎。我覺得Sigma仲有先見創出三層感光元件, 個個都話顏色正架, 但要好賣都要市場其他野去配合。
