I have a 17-55 2.8 on my 50D and wish to buy a wider lens to take landscape & night photos.
Could any C-hing kindly give me an advice, please!

buy 10-22 EFS! I ise this lens more on 50D than the 17-40/f4L on 5D mark2 because of its high quality!

I have just revealed the related previous posts in this forum. Although the previous post by "Vinching" on 6-Mar-09 as well as the given link-http://www.pbase.com/lightrules/1022v1116 provide a lot of helpful information, I still could not make the decision. I could only delected the Tokina 12-24 from my choice list!

Could the problem "Purple edge" be solved by any softwares?

I have just bought the 11-16 from XXX Shing and made some snap shots for testing its performance. So far, I am satisfied as I find it gives very sharp photos and wide enough to my expectation.

I have to say thx to all of you again for helpful suggestions.

Also, I also want to say thx to the staff ERIC of XXX Shing. A day before, having seriously compared the 12-24 with 11-16, I still can't make decision. He kindly advise me to check the shot testing photos at home and make further consideration before paying for it.

For wide angle lens, I would say Tokina 11-16 is a good choice. Large aperture is excellent for taking indoor and night photos. I used for some time and the performance is to my satisfaction
