各位CHING,
小弟用開55-250mm,4-5.6.近日想UPGRADE換小小白IS.
但聽朋友講小白IS有2.8大光圈,比小小白IS的4光圈好好多好多,
然而我睇其他用家心得,又發覺唔係差好遠,而價錢又真的相差5千蚊,
請各位師兄指點迷津，到底我該如何選擇？
原先小弟鐘情小小白IS,價錢又負擔得起,但小白IS又好像人人都說比小小白好,咁點算呢？

請各路英雄幫幫手...

I have 小小白, 小白 and 小白IS, their picture quality are really good. BUT one day, when I tried my friend's 小小白IS, I found that the IS is excellent (better than 小白IS), the picture quality is also excellent on 5D2 (better than 小白IS at corners)

NOW I wanna buy a 小小白IS & sell 小小白 & 小白 ^_^

SW has 4 LD lens
SSW has 1 瑩石 lens + 1 LD lens

how do you guys compare the image quality ???

瑩石 lens 個個都話好
Canon 話 2 LD = 1 瑩石 ，計一計 SW should be better ??

more lens more difficult in controlling the image quality, therefore prime lens always has better quality, less lens...此句又岩嗎？

prime lens usually offer better quality than zoom lens, especially in terms of distortion, light fall-off and CA.

usually, but not always ... depends on a whole universe of factors

compared 70-400/4 IS v. 85/1.8, 100/2, 100/2.8 macro, 135/2, 200/2.8 II at F4 and F5.6. the zoom is just as sharp on tripod/flash; and sometimes a bit sharper handheld. of course, you lose at least 1 stop's aperture advantage going the zoom way ... and that makes a huge diff. in the DOF. on the plus side, how much more does it cost to get the bunch of fast primes in this range?

I believe that 70-200 F4 is sharp enough among those prime.

I have borrowed the 70-200 F2.8 from a friend for the wedding photo taking in Guam. The image quality was very very good, just as sharp as 85 1.8 and 50 1.8.

I used f3.2 and f3.5 for the indoor church esp backlit situation. I wished to make the pride more white and therefore I over 1.7 for backlit. The shutter slowed down and I boost up the F-stop to 3.2 and 3.5

I couldn't say that you need f2.8 to f4 all the time. But you really want to have it when you need it esp those moments that don't have a 2nd chance for you.

But that 1.4 kg really a burden for me. You wouldn't just take one single lens if it is 70-200. You need a wide sometimes.

Exactly ... if it were 1kg, I would have gotten the 2.8 right away ... too old to carry a 1.4kg lens on a FF body + this and that ...

Then 70-200 F2.8 would be a good choice for you. But convenience sounds the first priority for you, which means F4 might be your top choice, right?

所以最後都揀小小白is 會岩我多d

或者你可以上canon 陳列室試下先 到時你自己會搵到答案

我買小小白時，其實原意係買小白，But.......玩左5分鐘，即放棄.....太重！所以最後買左小小白IS，去陳列室玩下你就明！同埋Canon既生意方式係相機行中最識塭$$，瑩石係好野，但只放4光圈度，而2.8只比四塊LD Lens，就係呢d point就會令到Canon用家難以撰擇！

小白的重量真係唔係人咁品。 但我有幫手影過舞台劇，用小白is，當時心諗如果係小小白就真係無能為力。 所以在低光+不可用閃的情況下，小白仍然係有佢的重要性。

我諗如果錢不是問題，當然有IS好過無既...如果係因重量及攜帶方便當然係小小白優勝啦IS啦...如果唔係要聞相...畫質並不如想像差別甘大者..2.8比對4光圈大..當在幽暗環境下對焦..2.8會比4來得容易些....同時景深也會淺些..既然要比錢買既當然係對自己係優點才買啦...我自己為左省下5千多來比團費...所以只買左小白無IS...但全程12日旅程中都掛在頸上都未覺重到頂唔順...或者係當你享受拍攝時的樂趣時就全然忘記相機既重量...拍攝是過程....相片是成果...得看你自己看重哪樣而已....既然係要花錢...開心地花錢總比煩惱地花來得痛快吧...!!!

我會選擇小白 or 小白is, 有錢就小白is, 無錢就小白...

重量方面...
玩左小白幾個月, 第1個月的確覺得重, 囉得穩都成問題...
但真的慢慢會適應重量...
之後去過canon show room試小小白,就會覺得支鏡輕得好興奮...
我覺得只是因為適應了重鏡的緣故...
所以我會選擇小白, 當係比自己的訓練...當囉慣重鏡,對於輕鏡就無咁易手震...

實用性方面...
一定是小白...同以上師兄所講一樣, 淺景深超靚!
其次是當影stage果陣,好多時無得閃,
(ps 不過有得閃都寧願選擇唔閃...推iso+高速連拍...為了保持舞台燈光...)
在這情況下, 當iso推到忍無可忍的地步, 自然就要收光圈, 隨時落到F2.8...
小白落到去F2.8打大頭, 真的好靚!

至於相質, 講真, both 小白小小白都好靚架喇...是但一支都靚...
其實差唔遠...只是小小白靚多少少...
兩者比較, 其實好似朱茵同黎姿2選1一樣...兩個都靚...
