why do u use DSLR?

工欲善其事, 必先利其器
正常來說 "用槍一定比用劍有優勢"

現在攝影科技發達, 好多以前的老師傅攝影所需要的知識好多人都已經遺忘...
畢竟數碼攝影太方便, 太多功能可以用電腦幫助
起碼不需用像菲林時代要影寶麗萊試相測光

好既器材絕對能幫到好多人更易掌握攝影技巧 (幫到幾多就因人而異喇)
所以相機質素重要, 鏡頭質素非常重要, 其他配套如燈光腳架都好重要

試想想好多人成日口口聲聲話德國機好, 德國鏡d相點毒...
勁在哪裡? 毒在哪裡?
光學, 鏡頭是也
不是手感重量連拍外型靚唔靚仔
很多靚鏡重要係 MF (手動對焦)

當有了好既設備
反而選景構圖, 對焦景深調較, 神態捕捉等等既技巧就係器材幫唔到你的

Many ppl always reject "equipment priority"......
always point someone who wants to buy higher level camera or L lens......
Then i really wanna ask why these anti-equipment priority" need to use DSLR? if just for photo shooting,i think DC or even a mobile phone can do so.....
but they choose DSLR cos DSLR can provide better picture quality or flexibilty that DC or mobile cannot offer.....
then is "using DSLR" also a kind of "equipment-priority"?
L lens can offer better picture quality as well......
Do all of them use non-L lens only?
I really never see that any reporter or professional photograher will just use some lower quality lens for their career or work........
then are they just kinds of slave of equipment?

我覺得影相好個人... 又好主觀...
有人鍾意買器材... 有人鐘意睇理論...
有人駛十萬八萬影出o黎同dc 冇分別... 有人套gear一萬幾千就o係national geographics 度攞獎...
人o地器材先決又好... 荷包先決又好... 其實唔駛理人咁多...
人o地點諗冇理由影響自己... 自己亦唔需要去影響人...
師主何必咁執著呢?

to be honest, i am not the supporter of "equipment priority"....but i dont reject....
i believe the target/ intention behind all of us who like photography is to get a nice/ beautiful/ attractive/ charming photo....
As long as u can show a nice photo, then you or the viewer will get the happiness or satisfaction no matter what methods you are using, e.g by your skills, technique, equipment or PS editing....
some ppl using PS editing to achieve the best result of the photo will always criticize someone who are using higher level equipment....
just like sometimes in this forum, maybe one guy is asking which camera he should buy....he is just asking some comments, but someone will just criticize he is a slave of equipment without any opinion or comment given......what is the rationale?
if someone is really skillful and radically anti-equipment priority, then pls show us a photo taken by a mobile phone with default setting and without any post-editing......
someone uses PS to achieve the best quality
someone uses best equipment to achieve the best quality
the rationale is the same....."wanna hv a nice photo"...
i don't think equipment is the prerequisite.....but is indispensable if u want to hv a better quality...
there is no denying that better equipment can help you get better picture quality....
try to think...
shooting the same portrait in the same situation at the same time by the same angle....
one is using 5DMKII with 85.2L and one is using 5DMKII with 85.8
both of them are default setting......which one will hv better quality?
or even....
one is using 5DMKII with ZF85.4 and one is using canon IXUS DC...
which one will hv better result?
if someone give you a lens as a gift....u hv 2 choices...one is 50.2L ..one is 50.8....
which one will you choose?
one thing is certain.....better equipment brings better quality...
if affordable...no one will be resistant to better equipment cos all of us who like photography also wanna hv better picture quality.....
then all of us are slaves of equipment?
Certainly, skills or personal sense are very important for photography.......
but i dont believe a skillful photographer can take an excellent photo with a mobile phone with 8.0MP CCD camera....
if equipment is not a vital factor...then canon,nikon, zeiss....or other brands hv no need to release new camera models la.......all cameras are uniform....with one uniform kit lens.......everyone will take photos with this camera and lens with default setting without PS editing...then it's really a primitive photograpy.......
anyway....all of our happiness or satisfaction are from a nice photo....
u can get it by skills, by PS editing or by equipment......
someone who is fresh in photography cannot use 5DMKII or L lens ma?
he also just wants to hv a nice photo ja....the same as all of us...
so pls dont blindly or radically criticize someone who is using / pursuing high level equipment....be rational to think twice why you are holding a DSLR on hand rather than a historical Sony 2.0MP cyber shot DC~~
i got one Sony cyber shot at home......it's nice on appearance....but i don't use it for a long time la...since she can give me the quality what i want....
if i hv money...i also want to purchase a Ferrari F40 rather than a honda....

First of all , I like this topic. I am not Canon fans but I own G10.
I support ~~"Equipment priority"~~, I start to play photograhy just around two years and still have long way to learn to take a good pictures. For example, I am using D3 now and if I cannot take a good picture by this camera that's mean my skill is still under level because I own the top line Nikon model already. So I do not need to spend time to search for another better camera, then I will read more, study more and take picture more.

That is my personal concept!!

影音同攝影都係，最頂級的器材同第二、第三級的器材，質素可能只係相差少於10%（或可能只僅僅一兩個%），而售價往往相差數倍，所以有人會覺得貴價機身與及鏡頭因為性價比不高所以唔抵，而且好多人均難以在照片中分辨出其中差異。

但係畫質並不代表攝影之全部，操控、準確、快速等都是重要因素。 以鏡頭同相機為例，解像當然係重要因素之一，但可靠性都極其重要。 試問當你幫人影婚體時，相機突然error係幾咁死火，呢D都係從照片中睇唔出的重要性。 而對焦快速準確，高級閃燈回電力快等可以令到你影多幾張相，擁有高iso低雜訊令你可以在低光而不可用閃的情況下亦能拍到可用照片，呢D都唔能夠單憑照片中睇出，亦唔能夠photoshop事後補救。

好多精彩照片除左係構圖精彩、畫面發人深省外，最重要一點，就係佢「影到了」。 拍不到，就乜都冇，而影到同影唔到的分別，除左你個人技術外，往往就係你部機o個幾個%的優點。
