And, I haven't officially become an apple user yet - my apple is in the shipping.

I recommend the free trial version before you buy, as I think iphoto has some useful functions already, and Aperture is quite expensive

Apple Aperture has a regular update of RAW suport. Apple software update will check the update automatically. You may check the web out:
