I received an email that suggested select 1D4 and 60D’s are being tested with 3″ OLED screens. Most of the test cameras are equipped with LCD screens.

USB 3.0
1D4 to be USB 3.0 ready. The initial camera shipments may come with it locked out, and be later turned on with a firmware upgrade as the spec reaches the masses sometime in 2010.

note: I don’t have the technical knowledge to know if you can turn on usb 3.0 at a later date. If anyone has some insight, i’d appreciate it.

GPS & Wifi
The source says GPS will be built into the 1D4 and not the 60D. Wifi will be an addon product for both cameras.

The same email states August 25, 2009 for the official announcement.

- GPS: Sorry I don't know how popular this function is, I just think it's a grimmick for me.
- Built-in wifi on camera....good stuff if you've netbook/pda. No need to buy additional CF/SD card.
Anyway, I hope they'll launch new lens like 35 1.4L II.

You're right. But I think it is possible as there's still a time gap before announcement & offical launch date (e.g. 50D was announced on 26 Aug 08 and it's only available till late Sep 08). According to Canon's strategy on x0D series (new model per year), it seems they're very likely to launch new one this Sep.

So how about other functions eg movie, pixel, continuous shooting speed, ISO control, picture style etc ??

GPS is good but not very important. USB 3.0 - gosh my PC just assemblied don't have it. I am happy with USB 2.0

There must be some killer functions not yet mentioned.
