而家d人吾會自己去試下尋求答案先, 下下都要上網問，連上search engine揾野都懶!

我見過有人問"DSLR 點樣turn off 個快門聲", 超經典！

不過我又覺得可能係香港人生活上多左怨氣, 呢d怨氣漫延至forum上, 而係呢d要有錢先玩到的hobby, 有米果d睇吾起新手的情況亦有。d 新手又吾掙氣, 咁情況就越黎越嚴重。

U are right. I also take more time to make a decision in buying lens or body. However, the prices have gone up not down. Difficult to understand.

No wor, it seems to me that you brought the 100-400 L la. By the way, your gear become more and more.

The exchange rate of Yen is strong so Japanese products are more expensive now, but if you read the proformance of Canon their profit dropped a lot in 2008 and expected to drop in 09 too.

I bought 100-400L last summer well before the financial turmoil. It is a great lens, but too heavy to carry around.

The exchange rate is the culprit. I have yet to buy any lens after the price hike.

By the way, because of weight I use kit lens most of the time. Other lenses are kept in air tight box with dehydrating agent or in auto dry box. They are left untouched for months. I fear that mould will grow on the lenses even though they are in dry box.

How do you store your lenses and bodies? How to prevent mould?

i put them in an electronic dry box, not sure if it could prevent mold from developing in the long run, only time could tell.

I just like you two, I have two electronic dry boxes 40L + 80L to put my gear.

Take them out when you have air conditioning on in the humid period like recently, and clear them after you go to sea side, hiking etc by dry clothe wipe the lens body and I must use filter on my lenses. Use them at home even those you did not bring it out to outdoor periodically so that you can see the condition.

Prime will be better, while zoom is more subject to fugi attack because of air will drive in when you zoom in and out. I have four lenses more than 20 year ago from film age. Two are prime and two are zoom, in the older time I did not treat them well as no electronic dry box, resulting two zoom seriously attacked by fugi while the two prime is ok.
