7D samples. The picture quality really can't compare with 5d mk2 and 1d mk3.
Just looking at the samples, it seems like a bit grayish and not too shape at all.
Have to test on the real product to make the final decision.

I don't think it is fair to compare the picture quality of a APS-C body to a full frame body. The result can be predicted in this type of comparison.

7D picture quality should be compare with 50D etc.

Your point noted but picture quality is mainly rely on the sensor and noise reduction software of the camera body.

The 7D have a lot of features added on it but the sensor is only APS-C and even worse Canon make it a more dense sensor to put 18 meg pixel on it !! It is far too much !!

I don't have much expectation on its picture quality. Even 500D and 50D have much more noise at high iso compare with previous model unless processing techology has some more advancement, the pixel is already too much for the small sensor. I think 10-12 meg is already the max. resolution for a APS-C sensor.

I totally agree with you, 18 mega pixel is too much for APS-C. Sometimes is not all about the numbers but the actual quality of the product.

Totally agreed. That's why when Canon G11's spec, I was pleasantly surprised it has the courage to reduce the pixel count. Excellent move!

I can say this 7D cannot be compared any single digit "D"...

As we think that 7D is the next generation of 5D or we would say updated.

But No FF, i think only this point 7D is totally out of our expectation, even though what 18M or other new feathers. If no FF, rather 500D still better than 7D in my own opinion...

I will not suggest anyone to purchase this 7D indeedly, canon make me feel really disspointed.
