[Canon Ball]

Do anybody knows, turn on the IS on the L Len and it will create noise when using auto focus.
If not, I will have to return the Len.
Please advise and thanks.

He talked the sound come from his len when he used auto-focus. I think it is normal when u used continous focus mode.

唔洗continous focus mode，只要係auto focus，IS就會start，就會有少少聲。
唔做auto focus時，IS係唔會啟動。

因為IS系統要幫你不停修正光軸,,所以係會有聲架,,無聲ge話你就真係要拎返去換了.

new lenses like 18-55, 55-250, the lens remains silence even IS is on.
For older lens, they will create some noise, but not noticeable.

Yes, the lenses will create noise when the "IS" system is in working. It is normal. But some lens is louder than the other one.
eg: The noise of (EF 70-300 IS USM) is much louder than (EF-S 18-55mm IS)
PS. The "IS" system only in work when you half-press the shuttle button.

New IS system like 18-55, 55-250, the techlogy come from DC, it is more silence than "L" lens even IS is on. The cost of new IS is cheaper than previous IS system.

In this case, use "sound" i/o "noise" can avoid misunderstanding...
