70-200mm f/4 IS
or 100 macro IS L only
IS is priority in this generation as my experience.
affecting shutter speed, wht a important elements of camera.
100 IS can use 1/6 sec
no IS 200 is 200, 100 is 100.

I don't think IS is necessary for a macro lens, as serious macro work always need a tripod, especially for a tele macro lens.
Also landscape photographer always need no IS as they all use tripod
I think IS is important got fashion, wedding photographers & reporters, but I think they need 70/200/2.8 IS ra
rather than 100/2.8 IS

right, very depends on what u use on those lens.
i shoot fashion and portrait usually, i do like macro flower sometimes
so one lens can cover macro and portrait
100 IS is best choice for me,
landscape, i usually use cheap cheap lens, coz light priority~~
so wht kind of shots u most, kc?
how about 100 IS + x1.4 or x2 ?
haha, or u really attract by red ring white lens of canon??

I own a 14mm and 24-105mm. I think I am well cover on the wide end. Therefore, I want a Len to cover the telephoto end. With 12000, I just wonder what is the best option I can have. I haven't use telephoto zoom Len for quite a long time since I mainly shoot landscape. However, it is quite practical to have 70-200mm. I definitly don't need a f2.8. I just wonder how the IS preformce? I don't find the IS that useful on my 24-105mm. I just feel the IS makes the lens heavier. I am also regraded to sell my 28-135mm in exchange of the 24-105mm. I may sell my 24-105mm and get the 28-135mm back. So I can have more money to get a Marco Len......oh... I always bring my tripod with me...
