老實講,想平玩Leica鏡宜家喺唔實際既,
平镜時代已經過去,
多人找的如大頭九,90mm F.2 年頭才3至4千,
宜家殘鏡都要你6至7千.
你話喺咪好變態.

Actually, for fun is ok. Yet to be realistic, better not.

If you look around, 90% of shooters of such have out of focus problem once using larger aperture. Many like the "taste" of leica lens but still hit rate is very low.

If you really want to see see if you can bear and actually feel the difficult, go 135/2.8. At least this range is relatively rare and it is good for shoulder shot and relatively cheap.

現有少少自已睇法,
如有錯誤請指正,大家交流,交流,
以前D機配R镜對焦真喺好痛苦,中焦率又低,
我宜家用5D2中間红點合焦提示,
但一定要set好機内focus+,-偏移值,
每個adapter都有少少誤差既.
宜家中焦率35mm以下约8成,
35mm以上中焦约5至6成.
都算做有D進步啦.

我去年10月入的 135mm F2.8 新淨的HK$2000,
宜家要幾多???? 哈哈

Can this be done? Instruction inside manual? I now use KPS1.3x, in focus percentage for wide open aperture for say 50 within 6 ft = 0..... ;-(

Now I shoot at 5.6 up if need to use R lens. Actually, 95% of the time I stick to tamron 28-75 zoom....

I know I am very "ng dim"...

我無用KPS, 但換咗1Dmark3裂像對焦屏,(大陸改的)
機内要set 對焦屏為Eg-s, 你唔set 個focus 會走前或走後的,
因為對焦屏比原裝要暗, 對焦系统會出錯既,
我所講set focus+,-值是指canon對付镜頭走焦那個設定,
我自己部機set 去+18, 喺要慢慢試出呢既,

我用過R50 F2係Canon 20D上，發覺同Canon 枝50 F2.8 macro差唔多。記得以前影菲林時枝R50真係好正，但用係20D上真係睇唔出任何Leica鏡既優點同味道，有點浪費左Leica。

I think it all boils down to shooting habits and the subject to shoot.

I think Leica optics is superior but in order to really get it to perform, time is needed. For casual or short time shooting, using Leica on EOS rarely see good results. I came to this conclusion 10 yrs ago. Revisted R lens again last few weeks and same conclusion reached again.

Major problem is still the same old focus problem. With 5D2 original viewfinder or kps1.3x added or focus confirmation, there are still high chance focus will miss when using large aperture. Of coz, for 4R printing, no one will notices. However, blowing up to 100% will see focus is out. Focus out = the point that needs to focus is off and some other points are in focus by mistakes. This can be irritating.

Speed is another problem but this can be overcome for certain types of photos. Say landscape has no problem on this.

Yet, when all go right, Leica optics does have an edge.

A disclaimer - I may not have normal taste. I even dislike L lens due to weight and size. Optics is important but not the most important. If we see camera's task as simply "Ying doe and ying ng doe" (Can capture or cannot capture), too massive and troublesome setup usually have much higher chance to fail.

Again, I may be odd. Readers beware.

但對於我影花,sharp 吾 sharp 好重要,所以我不介意影多幾幅...

而且我中左Leica 毒,已不受控,哈哈哈

合焦提示最大問題是红點寬容度實在太大,
(基本上canon無預你去用手動镜. 個红點比你見到就算.)
例如焦點是30吋,
但實際上26至34吋红點都會閃,(只是大约舉例),
所以set個focus+,-值最好set去红點最前,最後或中間,
你就跟這個set法去對焦, 再用裂相屏去confirm,
應該中焦率會大一點,
如有師兄有其他的方法, 想法,去改善對焦問題
請賜教
