There is a major metering problem with the CANON 400D. The photographs are very dark and underexposed. Have anyone experienced it before and can it be fixed? Please help...

this is characteristic of 400d this is normal

aways little bit under
but this is good for after fix becasue the picture will not lose detail

測光準確與否 其實都要睇鏡...
細光圈變焦鏡 通常都under半級至一級~~
當然測光正確與否 還有好多原因呢~~
在我而言...用開400D同40D....
我覺得在 一定測錯光的環境 下....不知是否因為40D較為準確...所以出事時40D會更錯~~~

All my photos are underexposed regardless of which lenses I used and it could not be fix by photoshop b/c the photo is just too dark, especially the ones taken indoor.

唔知A16定400D定係我個mon問題

多數A16 + 400D都話會室內暗左少少,除非係天然光
不過呢少少野..揀相果陣順手執埋都唔係咩大問題..

I have same experience with you. All photos taken indoor are underexposed by 1/3 to 1EV. I have checked with Canon HK and they replied that the exposure is correct. However, for me, white colour tastes gray for all indoor photos.
The solution is to +EV for all indoor photos. (Lens=50mm1.8)
Anyone suffers the same. Pls share.
