有時唔夠光時又唔用得閃(如室內影運動)時會影RAW (想快門Over 1/400)Under兩級再用DPP整光佢但會見到Noice，係因為我用了ISO400定係因為影Under就一定會咁？各Ching會用ISO1600來替代嗎？我怕都係勁多Noice，有時用Noice Reduction做完效果又好似唔係好好咁…你地會用咩Setting做Noice Reduction？本人用40D的…唔通只有上FF呢條路？但呢排影東亞運動會真係覺得部機快真係好好玩(當然唔夠1仔快啦﹗)怕用了5D2之後追焦冇40D咁好，連拍就一定唔洗講啦…各Ching點睇？

My personal experience the 5D2 have the same or faster AI servo than the 40D's. Just an issue if you really need spray and pray by the higher fps.

I have both 50D & 5D2, recently I only use two 50D for jobs because the AF of 5D2 is too slow to take fast moving objects. 40D is more or less the same responsive as 50D. If u upgrade to 5D2 & sell 40D, u may not have the responsiveness of 40D.

At first I used one 20D & one 50D for jobs, after buying the 5D2, I used 50D+5D2 for several wedding jobs. When I set to servo AF & enabled all the hidden AF points of 5D2, the AF speed & accuracy is at most 50% of 50D, many photos on fast moving objects were out focus. Later I bought another 50D to replace the 20D & 5D2. If u are an amateur, u can use 5D2 for fast moving objects, because u can retake whenever u like. For those who gain $ from photography, we don't have 2nd chance to take the photo again. So vote for 40D, 50D, 7D, 1D2/3/4 or 1Ds 2/3 for sport.

U can go to the CANON CS to try moving objects, e.g. u pan the lens & see see whether the 5D2 servo AF can catch the focus.

u can forget the other AF points for servo AF (simply useless for tracking fast moving objects such as birds)

I used to be one of the guys who gain $ by taking wedding photos, I saw many many amateurs using 5D2 in wedding, but they usually use the GREEN button mode, I use M mode ISO 800 with usually 1/30 to catch indoor light atmosphere. I used a yellow / brown filter on my flash lights & set the WB to tungsten when indoor. I only use bounce card but no diffuser.

The noise level of 5D2 even 3200 is acceptable, but 50D at most 1600. I don't take RAW in wedding (as u gonna missed some important photos when the buffer is full), I only play RAW in my leisure time.

Haha ... I saw many amateurs using xxxD, 5D or 5D2 taling wedding photos better than those so call professional who gain $ by taking wedding photos. Interesting!

If u have $ u can buy a 50D & compare with 5D2 for AF performance. As I already have 2 50D & 5D2, I did many comparisons b4.

One thing a pro does is always shoot in M, custom WB.

I am not a pro now, as I retired already. U still have many many years to go to that stage. Learn more!

Sorry Obi-wan I would disagree your perception as state above. Hope you don't mind. Actually I shoot my Nikon FM2 and Mamiya in manual, can't find a reason to tell people it is professional.

For the gear, I used a 40D for one years and taken over 10 thousands of action pictures, the AF is same as the 50D as I tried my friend's.

Many young people may be richer than me to buy whatever equipment & fire whatever shutter counts. But I gave up my RB67 in 198x to shoot with Nikon F3, then switch to CANON because AF speed of Nikon at that years were much weaker than CANON. Also I sold my 40D long time ago as its shutter button was not that responsive after several months usage.

I like shooting flying birds, but I don't shoot over 10 thousands of action pictures on flying birds. Would u mind posting these action photos with 5D2 on dcfever, to let us share?

I did posted many flying birds in dcfever, but none of them are taken with 5D2, because they are not sharp enough to post.

I share my experience on the equipment I owned. If any forum reader find that useful, that's good.
