What type of 室內運動 and will you be able to roam freely? Do you know the lighting situation there? Which camera body will you be using?

I would think the zoom with 70-200mm range will give you more flexibility. Different between 2 and 2.8 will not matter as much and higher ISO is key for indoor without flash. IS will be useful if you will be hand holding without tripod/monopod. If those are the only two choices I would take the 70-200 f/2.8 with me.

This set of pictures were taken with 70-200 f2.8 IS on a 5D2 and I was able to roam freely. The lighting of the gym was quite bad so ISO was more like 3200 all the way. Hope this helps.

135 L for sports photo? It sounds impossible. I am taking a lot of photos for dogs running around. The best set up is 7D + 70-200mm 4/F IS. IS lens is very important.

You should consider-

(1) lighting - daytime or night time with lights on? High ISO may help
(2) distance - for indoor arena, 70-200 is more flexible
(3) Aperture of lens - 135 F2 & 70-200 F2.8 not much difference at F2 & F2.8, therefore zoom will give you more flexibility
(4) shutter speed - taking sports photos, you will need higher shutter speed to freeze the moment of action, and for 135 and 70-200, you have to consider the safety shutter speed, i.e. over 135 and 200 for 135 & 70-200,
(5) IS function - 135 has no IS, 70-200 F2.8 IS is better
(6) Flash - can a flash provide you with adequate lighting? (also consider distance, flash may not reach long distance.

will u consider to use 1/15 sec shoot motion when u use SSWIS??

f/2.8 is just baby aperture when indoor or night time. u can try if u have 50.8

f/2 and f/2.8 shutter speed is total 2 different thing

no any flash can light up the whole sport center i think.

"IS is total useless in motion shooting" absolutely makes sense. But perhaps the type of 室內運動 being referred here is Tai Chi or Yoga competition then IS will be very much helpful and useful :).

個個體育館應該都咁上下光暗,我由最高嗰排小白IS影落嚟呢張f2.8 用到iso3200 快門先得 1/200唔係好定到個 object



呢張試吓under少少快門有 1/320 不過 noise 明顯多咗

如果你用40D應該 135 都夠長,光圈又大d
