wants to buy a tele zoom lens.

70-200 f/2.8 IS II (rabbit)

or

100-400 (big white)?

which lens will you choose and why? thank you all c-hings.

if u have enough money sure 70-200 II la~than 加 2X增距就有恆定5.6光圈

my opinion is

if you take portraits more, 70-200
if you take animals and birds, 100-400

even the new 70-200 after added 2X still can't be as sharp as 100-400

so if you take animals or long distance object more, 100-400 would be a better choice

I prefer 70-200
1. 100-400 is suitable for sport, but may be too short for distant bird, so less useful if u like to take bird photos
2. 100-400 AF too slow, IS also not good; can't compare with small white IS I/II
3. 100-400 is a dust sucker and a dust pump (may pump dust into your DSLR)
4. if u want enlarged image, u can always crop to give reasonably sharp image

I sold 100-400 & keep 70-200/2.8IS + 1.4X and 2X
