I have bought a 430EX II for my 500D and wanna to know how to make / where to buy the white card board which I see many professionals are using. It is for some sort of light bouncing to make the light softer, am I correct?

Can I buy at Sham Shui Po?

機頂燈用的柔光配件有很多. 配件不同, 效果都有D分別.
但同一東東, 用在580 / 430上面, 就其本上一樣.

I see some chings using 柔光罩 and others using white card board.
So which one should I buy?

I mainly use my 500D to take photos for the kids indoor and outdoor.

個人選擇, Indoor 用bounce卡(即果塊白卡), 多利四圍的反射(要視乎情況)
outdoor空曠地方, 就用柔光罩直打.

都係果句, 冇一本通書睇到老, 冇一招可以打天下.

so 柔光罩 can fit all model or I have to tell them which external flash model I am using? how much is it roughly?

柔光罩, 包裝上面有寫明適合邊個model的, 廿蚊咁上下

其實視乎你要的效果, 你要硬光, 就唔用. 要柔一點的, 就用.
影2張比較就看到分別.
但要注意, 加左柔光罩, 係會弱左~1級的.
