I notice some people would love to know how many shutter count they had made, Why need to know Shutter Count? and what for??

Shutter is pretty much of the Heart of whole camera. The more times it has been flip (used), its lifetime will be less.

I dont really follow, what do you mean lifetime? Is it mean one day the camera die by this??? Sorry asking this stupid question!!

Nowaday, 50D has its 100,000 times of Shutter flip of which means everytime its shutter flip, ur camera is 1 time less than its lifetime.

Just like a pistol, its only allow 6 bullets to fits in. Everytime u shoot, it is one bullet less than its can shoot.
Of Course, pistol can be reloaded. Same as the Camera, but the only different is no one is will to change its Shutter when its time up. They will buy a new camera instead, thanks

Every mechanical equipments are exposed to wear and tear. Shutter is no different. The shutter count is just similar to milage meter of vehicle, which keep check the nos of photo you've taken.

May I ask this shutter count only on those $$$$ Camera only or........
no matter what kind of Camera, like a Name Card size (Small Camera) also will have those counting thing?

Shutter only apply on all DSLR or SLR camera
