sharpness & AF speed: SSWIS (all range) > BW >> SSWIS+1.4
IS: SSWIS > BW

SSWIS should be the sharpest zoom lens ever made by CANON as far as I know

I will get my SWIS II soon, hope i have time to test SWIS II vs SWIS vs BW vs 384 vs 85L. ^.^"

I don't believe the result from your link because 55-250 was using 50D but SSWIS using 1Ds

50D & 1Ds2 have similar no. of pixels, that's why I choose them for comparison
