Which L Lens you will upgrade first:

Wide Angle:17-40mm to 16-35mm?
OR
Standard Zoom: 28-135mm to 24-105mm or 24-70mm?

Will upgrade to FF later. Please advise.

17-40L 平玩之算,,長插都OK,,,
但光圈得F4,,除非機身高ISO做得好,,,
5係既話陰天都幾惡頂,,,

24-105個RANGE係FF度好用好多,,,
除非你好少影WIDE,,5係既話24-105真係好好用,,,
16-35同24-70有2.8光圈一定值果個錢,,,
但個人比例喜歡IS多D,,,

The quality improvement of 17-40 to 16-35 is marginal until you use wide open and the extreme edge will have a differences.

But the improvement of 28-135 to either 24-70 or 24-105 will be greater.

So the logical move is change 28-135 either 24-70 or 24-105 depends on your use.

24-105 very good range on 5D or other FF, I like this lens very much.

24-70 good for portrait if you don't have other prime lens but it is much heavier.

Totally agreed, but my favourest lens is 70-200 f4 IS very very sharp, however, 24-105 IS is the most useful lens on my 5D, the range and IS both are excellent as a general purpose, walk around travel lens.

17-40 is excellent for landscape.
