Ching, I have seen people checking the shutter count on the camera LCD screen (D700), is that right? Which functions on the camera do I have to enable to see SC? 多谢各位师兄!!

This question came up so many times. There is no such function. Only way is to use a software called Opanda to open the photo taken, and it will show the SC. One ching suggested that if the camera was not used at all, it will show a Nikon logo during the first time it is switched on.

現今頗易取SC,如用"光影魔術手"開相,選查EXTIFF,便顯示,我是用第3.02版.以前我亦使用PENDA去查,但不方便,現今用光影,功能很好用.

so mean when test in shop, u must see "nikon logo" on LCD, else it is been "molested " before , correct?

if you want to interpret it that way, fine.
no guarantee the camera will show NIKON logo as it could have been tested by some one.
