Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG HSM

請問有無師兄有使用過哩兩支鏡？我暫時未有取態，所以想問下有使用過哩兩支鏡既師兄有乜COMMENT。

我見各有各支持者，有人覺得SIGMA成像好過NIKON，有人覺得NIKON好好多，亦有人覺得NIKON好重，所以想綜合有用過既師兄，如果budget無問題，只睇結果，買邊支好？

我有D90及D3000。

我只是用過Sigma 24-70，仲要冇HSM。但是個人覺得Nikon會可能好D。
但是好好多？就見人見智。如果有師兄話N24-70 sharp 過 S24-70。
我覺得好正常。但是系咪真系要咁sharp先？如果你真系需要(如交job,
海報之類)就話je~
S24-70 sharpness, color 同 brokeh 都絕對交足貨。

HSM is Hyper Sonic Motor, it allows camera without motor to autofocus. For example, cameras like D40, D60, D5000 does not have an in-camera motor, so you would HAVE to buy a sigma lens WITH HSM, or it wont autofocus. The focusing is also faster, quieter and more accurate.

yes ah C-hing. So what i meant was if the one with no hsm are "not
bad". I guess the one with HSM will be great performance. Regarding
PK1394 C-hing. I think he had a point, 17-50 will be more comfortable
on focus length since that you are using aps-c camera. Which depends
if you want to upgrade to FF in the future lo

They are both good lens for general usage (i have tried before) so I think the question is actually ask yourself which one fits your requirment more.
First, N2470 is almost double the price of S2470, is it the price you are willing to or can pay? Then you may consider filter size, S2470 use 80+mm filter...if you currently own a lot of 77mm size then you will have to buy a complete new set. You also should try it out at the store... some people hate the materials of Sigma. Well, now the size, S is shorter but wider/bigger, and extends more when it zooms, you okay with that?

Also, from a test site I have seen, the 24mm end of N is wider than S, so on the other hand the S will give you a tighter picture at the 70 end... which is more important to you? Capturing scenary or portrait shot? not sure if you understand my meaning.

Thanks a lot. Well ok, I understand what you meant. By the way, I asked some of my friends and they told me that most of the Sigma Lenes need calabration while using in both canon and nikon series, and some of them told me that you have to wait for a long time for that calabration.

I am still thinking of that. To be honest, Nikon 24-70 is very expensive to me, but just don't want to make a wrong decision.
