What is your purpose for getting this two lens?

let's forgot about pricing ... 328 is a specialise lens, the build and photo quality are really good. But it is not a lens easy to use.

If you are not a pro, and if you haven't got other super-tele lens, the 200-400 will buy you more convenience.

I guess ultimately you want to get a lens that you like to use and you will actually wanna bring it out and use it.

Not sure if I give you a direction on your question.

主要打雀用, 初時諗住選擇200-400, 不過响nikon cs試過328, 我發現比200-400 sharp加上328可以夾14,17同20既TC行AF, 而200-400只可夾14, 但係zoom的確compose時方便好多.................

You need to take into consideration with your camera as well.

If you have a 12MP camera, and if you need to make big printout, then cropping might not be a good option.

of course the 328 is a MUCH MUCH better optic. But 200-400 is a lens much easier to use.

A good lens is the one you will bring it out and use it all the time.

again, specialties lens like 328 is not as easy to use as many of us thinking. Especially when you wanna take photo of fast moving subject.
