其實好唔好放左部d700，

入番部d5100 ＯＲ　 s3 pro 　玩呢？

因為Ｄ７００　太重＋直倒，　唔方便出街，　
但又怕放左Ｄ７００　後悔。。。。。。。

Seriously,

Before you get the D700, you should understand it is heavy, it is big. Once you add the vertical grip and it is almost like a D3s size, it means it is getting bigger and heavier.

Are you well aware of this before you made your purchasing decision back then?

If you only need a camera to 玩 as suggested, any camera will fit your "want". Coz it's just about the trend, latest model ...

btw, the title "vs" is quite wrong, coz the cameras you are talking about is very different.

Example, just simply based on performance, D700 is winning D5100 is every aspect.


so .... This is the question you should ask yourself. Which camera do you want?


If you only need a work machine, then D700 is a simple no brainer choice. If you need a fancy new camera D5100, D7100 is good for you. Maybe D800 & D4 will be coming out later on as well =p

it's a very personal choice of things, and it's something to do with what do you need.

My need is a excellent camera body for work and it can withstanding the professional abuse in the hard working environment.

D700 of course better for me.


But if you need something simple and video, the D5100 is better. Do you know what I mean?

Something good for me might not be good for you. It's all come down to what is your need from the camera.


Release date for D800 or D4. I still haven't hear anything from Nikon yet.


Is that a good time to sell D700 and wait for the next gen camera? Prices of camera body only goes down. If you have a camera body sitting in the cupboard and doing nothing, it is good to sell if and get the cash back asap. Coz the longer you hold onto it, the more it is going to depreciated.

I feel he better keep using D700. Don't set up the battery grip unless it is necessary.

I'm using S5 pro. I put on/off the battery grip depending on my need. Normally If I use SB-900, I must use battery grip for better balance on gear.

For light weight, I feel even my D70s still heavy. Film Camera F80 is really light with much less electronic parts.

D700 同 D3100 差得幾遠呀!!!!!!!!
不如學我咁樣, 我都係嫌重, 放左部 D300s , 入左SONY NEX , 用了差不多一年了, 十分滿意. 沒有後悔.

5100好玩具feel，淨得個輕，只適合初學者，D700專業好多，唔好賣走佢，會後悔！
