Apart from the difference in outlook (Leica is nearly totally black, incl. the top plate and the base of the lens barrel, monochrome mode dial and shoot and play switch, while Panasonic has silver top and silver ring, mode dial and switch has the red and green bit.), there are also the following visible differences,

- Menu color scheme : Leica is monochrome with black background and white lettering, Panasonic the other way round.

Some say Leica has a more faithful color rendering than the excessively vibrant color of Panasonic, but I don't know about this.
