I don't think LX3 quality can be better than GRD2

I prefer GRD2 for the overall picture quality,
especially Pansonic STILL make it's RAW a painter like one as it's not a real RAW really

but the F2.0 is a real bargain...

另外, lx2 係冇compress 到架, 基本上係camera process完後就 save.

我唔係針對你, 不過見你講左好多好多次raw既問題, 我真係想俾你知raw format 係點 .........

I am quite sure I know a bit about RAW....as I only use RAW only you can say

I didn't say anything about "compress", all I mean is "process"

and LX2 (my previous camera) RAW compare with GRD2 (my current camera) RAW, you will see why I will have the impression of LX2 RAW is HEAVILY PROCESSED, which is not what one expected from the RAW

Maybe you could see is it right for me to conclude the result I concluded:
1) LX2 RAW has NO a SINGLE dead pixel. Well, I don't believe there is a consumer DC 's CCD/CMOS will have a 100% functional rate for all the millions of millions pixel sensor, the only reason I can think of is heavy processed

2) this one is just subjective reason...
both LX2 and GRD2 is 10MP camera, so basically the diff in detail won't be that great right?
but I found that LX2's RAW, however, is more painterly like, especially after a long exposure.
So I suspect that the NR not only affect the JPG, but more importantly, which I dislike very much, apply on the RAW.

I didn't read on the web and don't know are there people agree with me, and I don't really care as I don't see I was badly wrong here.

Of course, if I am really saying something ridiculous, let me know...

其實我講compress 係想話你知, 佢連compress 都冇做, 即係唔會損失任可data. 當然, 有compress都可以係lossless 既~

我同你一樣, 我都係影raw 多, d80都係, 以前lx1, d50, d70, g5, s45 都係, 基本上呢幾年都係影raw~

既然係兩部機出, 出黎既效果當然唔一樣啦, raw 係store 晒所有capture既資料, 但係都有做processing架, 不過你可以用唔同既 raw converter 再執~ 效果會根據raw converter 點認你既setting (可能會認錯)

I did NOT say LX2's RAW is compressed, I did NOT say that LX2's RAW is lossy, I did NOT say the LX2's RAW itself got any problem

Panasonic appears to have applied a considerable amount of NR to the RAW files themselves!

你都係唔明我講咩 ...... 我冇話過你講過lossy 既問題, 我係想話你知, raw 就係raw, 佢係記載住所有capture到既資料

我亦都講左, raw唔係代表一影即save冇做過任何process, raw 係save之前係有做process既~ 唔理係咩機都係, 唔係你又點會見到佢倒數做nr ...

呢個係唔同software 既問題, 就係因為唔同software 會"認"左佢唔同既setting (setting 係相機, 但implement 係base on 佢software 啦), 咁先會用唔同software convert 到唔同樣~
