I think you mean you want a 58mm CPL to go with your 18-55 kit lens, and your 50/1.8 with the help of a step ring.

But I think it's better that you get separate CPL for two lens.

Hoya CPL for 58mm is about $180. 52mm CPL should be a little bit cheaper ($150??).
