While I can't speak for Epson, my iP9950 can be rather inexpensive comapring to newer printers. Each cartridge costs around 64 dollars and the whole set is around 500
Each A5 premium paper is around 4 dollars. I believe each A4 sized photo is around 10 dollars, which is a lot less expensive than my previous Epson.

However, comparing to laser 1 dollar each, this is nothing
