As EPSON PHOTO 830 is developed with new technology in higher specification and PHOTO 895 is old design with higher grade in better material and more features.
Does anybody know the photo image quality of 830 and 895 ? Which one is better ?

Because the price of 895 and its accessories are cheaper than 830. If the photo image quality of them are similar, it will be better to choose 895 for frequent usage.
If the photo image quality of 830 is better than 895, I think I will choose 915 as its accessories are also expensive as 830.

Your comment is similar to my friend who is a photographer.

My friend tell me never try to use the ink of other brand name which will make the jet being jam frequently. Also, the ink of water goods and hong goods are at similar price. That menas it is no need to consider for the price of accessories.
For image quality, my friend recommends EPSON.
For model, he recommends 830 and 915.

I still get two questions.
First, I can't understand why the ink of 915 (T007131 & T008131) is different from 810, 830 and 925 (T026131 & T027131)
since all these four model are similar.
Do you know the difference in price and quantity of these ink packs ?
Second, why the 830 is faster than 915 ?

Since the ink of 895use the series of some older model photo series. The orginal manufacturer is china when the ink of 810 is from singapore/philippines.

Also, since many model use the ink of 895 series. For example, 870, 875dc, 790, 1270, 1290, 895, now is 915, so the price is cheap. but i can tell u there is no difference btw the quality of T027 and T008.

Also, i can tell u 915 is really better than 895 while 810 and 830 has the same quailty. Beleive me, since i work in epson. thanks.

My current DC is Sony F707 and I want know whether I can enjoy the PIM technology in printing the photo from F707. Is it need to match with specified DC ? If no, is it still good enough for me to buy 915 ?
Also, where can I buy the photo paper and ink at lower price ?

Is the ink of 900 different from others ?
Otherwise, how can it be printed on CD surface ?
Also, can it be kept for long time ?

If the ink is special for printint on plastic, will it be easier to jam the jet ?

Model 900 have a special plate for u to place the CD on it for printing

The ink , as the appledaily text inferred, is not a special one.
If U don't use the print CD function, it's same as an ordinary printer with functions more or less the same as 830/895, etc.

I agree with Edward.
I think the 915 should be better than 830 and it is no good to buy 895 as it should be worst than the new generation.

My worry is how to select between 915 and 900.
For 915, the card reader is useless to me because I will use it together with my PC, but 915 seems to be more professional than 900.
For 900, the print CD function is not essential for me, but the bottle of color ink is in big size, it is more economical.

Also, I find any model HP PSC 2110 which seems to be quite good in photo quality (4800x1200dpi with hp PhotoRet4) and powerful (including copying and scanning). The price is just HK$300 more than Epson 900.

Have u noticed the appearance of photo 900 is differ from the 830 or 915, it is a good model. Have u all tried Photo 870 or 875dc?
These models are excellent since they are not easy to jam the print head. Just like P1270 and P1290. It is a good model new generation.
Also, 915 or 895 is better than 830 a little bit on the color matching system. So u can find that P895 or 915 is in higher quality in the color matching. However, Photo 830 or 810 is in lower quality since the machine inside is difference. You can see that why 895 and 915 is the same speed since they are almost the same machine. However, P915 is a little better since it can use roll paper with nearly no bending on the photo paper while P895 appear a little bit. Sometimes high speed costs lower quality.

Compare with HP 2110 and photo 900, I can tell you the photo quality difference is quite high. I always communicate with those HP guys. They say HP need to print a A4 photo with borders 3mm in 3 sides and 12mm in one side. Also, HP is not familiar with the technology of photo printing. The yellow and the blue/green color is strange. If you want to print some high quality document , then HP is your choice. If you want to print some photos, use EPSON. It is said by them.

Also, Photo 900 is a good printer than all A4 printers in EPSON in the print head problem. Can I answer your question?

Also, there are some difference between 915 and 925 in the field of quality. Do u want to know why?

Many many thanks for your advise which is very useful to me.

Since it is not so easy for the 900 to jam print head and its ink is the same as 1290 in bigger bottle size which should be more economical, I think I will choose 900 if its printing photo quality is not worst than 915 and 925.

Any comment for the printing photo quality of 900, 915 and 925 ?

The choose of quality , the sequence from good to bad is 900 and 925, then 915. Since 900 and 925 are both high quality, but 900 can save more ink while 925 use T027 which is a little bit expensive. So the final choice of them is 900, 925 and 915. It is only the recommendation for those who has enough budget. Otherwise, 915 is fine.

There is a great difference btw 915 and 925. The quality is similar, however, the speed is a large difference if you dun use the computer to connect with the printer. P925 is much faster than 915 and there are lots of setting in P925. P925 can change the size of the photo to minimum thrumbnail size, and maximum size to A4 for roll paper. You can print out 2R/3R size in P925 while P915 cannot. Also, you can change any setting you want without connect with you computer. For example, brightness, satuation, scenery setting(macro, backlit, night, etc. ) , zoom, etc. Anything you can choose in the printer driver also can change in the P925. But why the speed of P925 is faster than P915 a lot, since the reader problem. P925 has built-in memory slot. That is no time delay when loading the photo.
