Film scanner is dedicated to scan film and slide only. More resolution, faster, more convenient, much better quality. Price ranging from 2XXX to 5XXX. For the expensive models, a large part of the price is paid to the 'ICE' licence. It is a very expensive hardware or software to remove scratch and dust on the film/slide....

如果有大量film and slide要scan，就買film scanner，最低買Minolta Dimage Scan Dual 3 或 Dual 4，$2XXX,跟貴機分別只係差緊個'ICE'。Scan其他野買番部$1000的flatbed scanner就得，同貴機無甚分別。加埋都係三千零蚊，等如買部懶強的全能scanner的價位。
如果你的film and slide是陳年舊作（幾年以上），又無特別保存，多數已經好殘，這樣就要有'ICE'先掂，尤其是你而家看慣左順滑無瑕的數碼相，未必可接受。如你是影一筒scan一筒就以上型號便可。

ICE係一個專業自動修復影像花痕的電腦系統，分硬件及軟件兩種。硬件ICE一般內建於高級高價菲林Scanner，如Nikon及Minolta之$5000以上型号，效能顯著，跟不使用ICE有明顯分別。現時有ICE軟件，效能稍遜，一般隨$3000級別之全能Flat bed scanner附送。

我試過幾部平背式的
4X5還可以，120毫則強差人意了。
