I am now using IBM 1G. It's ok. Not feel power consuming. But don't buy 340M, as it is old model and it's really power consuming and the speed for transmission is too slow.

How much was your IBM 1GB? How about the speed for read/write? Is it faster or slower than TYPEII? How do you think about choosing between TYPEI and II?

sorry nowadays is no more IBM... cux they sell the product 2 Hitachi...

Also I heard that... Microdrive is use no power while standby(even the camera on)... but normal CF (Type I/II) will drain power... Microdrive will only drain power when u hold down the sutter button half-way and "write" as well...
but normal CF will drain power when u turn on the camera...

Is less then $1300 in computer... if u buy it in bxxxxway with a DC or PDA is only $1090... heard that is a special price...
