I guess DV boy wants to ask 電視錄影機.
I use Panasonic 60E. Quality is so far so good. The start up time response is a little bit slow. I haven't tried to make DVD through the memory card slot but I think it won't be difficult as it has a standard menu to do so. and the recorder is generally user friendly.
If you want to know more please ask specific questions.

Thanks for nasor and dcnut
I want to ask more about 電視錄影機.
Is a A/V DVD RECORDERS with hard disk worthwhile ?
Can you edit ready-made DVDs with
DVD RECORDERS with no hard disk support ?
Please give me advise for choosing. thanks

What do you mean by ready-made DVDs? Are they DVD movies or music concerts etc. that bought from shops? Most of them are copy-protected, i.e you can't simply record the content through digital or AV cables to VCR or DVD recorders etc. Perhaps there are ways to do so but it should not be discussed here. It is illegal!
Regarding the difference between harddisk type or disc-only DVD Recorders, the most obvious difference is with a 80HD you can record upto more than 100 hours of program time. It is convenient and significant if you have to record some regular TV series but you don't stay home often. For example you have to stay in Shenzhen for work from Monday to Friday but you want to record the 2 TV series every night. 2Hrs X 5= total 10 hours of program. However a DVD disc can only record upto a maximum of 8 hours.
The second advantage of a HD type is easier to edit program. You can delete and add content in anywhere of the harddisk you like. You can copy the final edited version to DVD disc when you complete the editing work.
If you need to do editing very much but you don't afford a HD DVD recorder, then buy a DVD-Ram type. A DVD-ram works very similar to a harddisk. You can delete and add content anywhere you like. Don't worry about the compatibility as many others do. It can be read in most computer DVD-rom and your DVD-Ram recorder.

dcnut seems to be a good friend,
Thanks for lots of typing, THANKS !
just another question again for discusion
Comparing :
DVD recorder and
computer with MPEG en- / -decode and DVD writers
DVD recorder around -$4000 (No HDD) 5300+ (with HDD)
computer + DVD writer around 600-900
MPEG encoder around 1200+
Is computer option "quick" and reliable for edition purpose ?
computer seems can do a lot of post works and more flexable
such as adding more effects, transition, cartoons and CGs
- more AVC
Has anyone tried any MPEG 2/4 card with or with TV option ?
dcnut seems to have a lot of know-how and "equipments" !
Anyone have any idea, please comment.

ha ha, I only have the Panasonic E60 DVDR. I know a bit of this simply because I am using it. I bought this simply because I use it mostly for TV program recording.
Cheapest DVD+RW recorder is $1,990
