I think your old SD is only 128MB or 256Mb. A new 256Mb costs only $250. Why buy a adaptor for $150? SD is very useful. Keep it for future use or sell it.

Thank you for all those replies. I think getting a new CF is cheaper than the adapter itself. May be I will keep those SDs for future use.

SD --> CF type 1 adapter is very expensive. I bought mine in the shopping area near Golden (the location which a big DC shop locate) and the adapter was made by Panasonic. It cost me HKD350. worth it or not depend how u use it. For me, I will buy only SD /MMC card in the furture for all my device. Also I can swap card easiler to meet different needs.
