i'm using a dc with a memorystick and sometimes i use the same memorystick with reader as a portable storage disk to store other files, then format it in the dc to store photos again. doe it hurt the memorystick? FDI staffs told me that it was wrong doing like that.

It is a normal using, no problem. It does not hurt the memorystick.
