超焦點 – 是景深達 無限遠 的最近焦點, 其物距之一半也在景深範圍而清晰.
對焦在主體之前或之後, 但 清晰範圍(景深) 可涵蓋主體.

利用預校手動對焦 或focus lock 和 超焦點特性 :
a. 可以省卻對焦時間 作快速找拍.
b. 前移焦點以增加 背景模糊程度 和前景清晰度. 反之亦然.
景深範圍計算 (Circle of confusion 0.019mm=模糊的一般定義):

一般影風景用細光圈 eg F8, F16 以保證前景都清晰. 視鏡頭焦距而異.
eg. 50mm F16 對焦在 28 呎 (超焦點) 則 14呎 至 無限遠 都已經清晰.
